Sheffield Forgemasters CEO wins IoD Overall Director of the Year

Dated: 1 October 2010

The Institute of Directors (IoD) would like to announce that Graham Honeyman CBE, Chief Executive Officer of Sheffield Forgemasters International, is the winner of the inaugural IoD Overall Director of the Year UK Final.

Commenting, Miles Templeman, Director-General of the IoD, said:

“I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to Graham. He is an outstanding winner and I wish him and Sheffield Forgemasters more success over the years to come. It is great to see a UK manufacturing firm thriving and exporting. We too often forget that manufacturing is one the UK’s biggest strengths. Today’s award is a timely reminder of that fact.”

He added:

“This is the inaugural year of the Director of the Year Awards UK Final. However we have been holding awards like these in a selection of our regions for many years, and due to their success and the high calibre of the winners, we decided to create a UK Final, bringing together the winners from across the regions to compete against one another for the ultimate accolade – UK Director of the Year.”
